I recently contacted ASAP Plumbing because the pilot light on my Bradford White water heater would ignite but would not remain lit after releasing the control knob.
I paid $70 for a diagnostic visit, expecting the technician to properly troubleshoot the issue and identify the cause.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service. The technician essentially repeated the same basic troubleshooting steps I had already performed myself. He listened to the gas control valve, heard a clicking sound, and concluded that the controller needed to be replaced.
I was then quoted approximately $590 to replace the controller, despite the replacement part itself being covered under warranty.
What bothered me most was that the technician never used a multimeter to test the thermopile voltage or demonstrate that the controller was actually defective. There was no clear explanation of how other possible causes had been ruled out.
I understand that professional labor costs money, and I have no problem paying for quality service. However, when I'm paying for a diagnosis, I expect more than an educated guess—especially when the recommended repair costs nearly $600.
The technician may ultimately be correct about the controller, but I was not provided with sufficient testing or evidence to feel confident authorizing that repair.
Overall, I left feeling like I paid $70 for very little useful information. I would have appreciated a more thorough diagnostic process and a clearer explanation before being presented with such an expensive repair recommendation.

We use ASAP Plumbing for our commercial property, and I can’t recommend them enough!
First, I want to recognize the wonderful lady who answers the phone. I wish I remembered her name, but she is incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely understands her customers’ needs!
Unlike other plumbing companies that schedule 3–4 days out, ASAP Plumbing understands that commercial properties need things handled quickly. I called around 5 PM, and they scheduled us for the very next day between 12–4 PM. To our surprise, they showed up at 11 AM and got the job done early, making our entire day much easier!
I also appreciate their transparency. They provide before-and-after photos of the work, and their payment process is quick and convenient once the job is completed.
Great communication, fast service, and a team that respects your time. We’ll definitely continue using ASAP Plumbing. Highly recommend!

Big shout-out to Josh and Jose who replaced our pex manifold and washer shut off valves. They were professional and did solid work. We had a time constraint to get it done and it was never a problem. ASAP sent them out the day I called to look at the issues and they were back within a couple of days to replace the items. Highly recommend ASAP, ask for Josh and Jose!

Our faucet broke, and we contacted the company for service. They sent Julio to help us, and we couldn’t be happier with his service!
Julio was knowledgeable, took the time to explain how he could fix the problem, and successfully repaired it. He also made sure to explain the next steps we should take. Even though it was very late at night, he remained professional, patient, and dedicated to resolving the issue.
We are very happy with the company’s service, especially with Julio, who did an incredible job. His knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help truly made a difference. We greatly appreciate his hard work and outstanding customer service!

Vlad did an amazing job. I appreciated that he explained all of my options. I also appreciated how he showed and explained to me what the issue was, what may have caused it and a recommended fix that might prevent this from happening to the other lines in the future. He was very courteous and professional and was a dynamo, never stopped working! Thanks Vlad!!
